The Desert Community Orchestra performs its annual Christmas Concert “Christmas in Ridgecrest”, on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 7:00 PM in the Parker Performing Arts Center at Burroughs High School. Doors open at 6:30.

The orchestra’s selections will feature an array of Christmas melodies, including favorites such as Sammy Cahn’s “Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow!”, and the classic “Sleigh Ride”. Children in the audience will be delighted by “Here Comes Santa Claus” and selections from the Polar Express, as well as by a special visitor from the North Pole! This concert will also feature our own Ridgecrest Mayor Eric Bruen narrating a beautiful winter journey through the Lapland countryside. Other special guests will include vocalist David Hodgson, Burroughs Madrigals, Methodist Men’s Choir, The Ridgecrest Youth Symphony, and guitarist Jeff Welsh.

Maestro Robert Martinez will be conducting the orchestra’s annual Christmas Concert. The festive atmosphere and energy he radiates from the podium always adds a merry mood to the evening. Mr. Martinez promises it will be a memorable fun-filled night full of great entertainment.
